I recently visited my friend Henry Rosenthal who lives with his wife in an old 6-story furniture warehouse in San Francisco. The home is a wondrous collection of curiosities, and as he describes it, A Museum of the Strange. On the 2nd-floor of the building is the Weinstein Warehouse Collection and The MOOseum of Two-Headed Calves. Also displayed on the 2nd-floor are wooden assemblages that I had built over 30 years ago when I was living on 17th Street. When I moved to the house I now live in, Henry rented a large U-Haul truck and saved several of my assemblages that would otherwise have been thrown away. |
